So has anyone compared the DD enticer to the AB Raptor in person at the range? I am torn between the Enticer S-TI and the Raptor 8.

But I would be interested to know how the Enticer L-TI stacks up to the Raptor 10 if thats all we got. I haven't been able to find any place where someone has compared any combintation of a raptor and enticer side by side.
I'm still waiting for my order from DD but I'm gonna compare all 4 of those when they show up. Hopefully they'll come within a couple more weeks

Before you pull the trigger maybe DM me. I’m working with DD on a side project that may be worth a minor wait. Promised I wouldn’t advertise yet….(but fully plan to when they tell me to!).

Sounds exciting, do you have a rough eta when you might be allowed to disclose?

My diligent defense cans just came today, here are the weights:
Enticer LTI: 10 1/4 oz
Enticer STI: 8 5/8 oz
Wolf Hunter: 8 5/8 oz

Gotta load up some rounds now, will try to go shoot these with all the rest of my cans in the next few days and report back here before I leave for spring bear

What’s the verdict?

My friend is meeting me in a couple hours to go shoot, will post the results here tonight. I went out yesterday and tried them out alone doing some load development, but its hard to judge as the shooter. Initial thoughts, the DD are cans are amazing, especially for their weight/price but I thought the first round pop sounded slightly better on the AB raptor 10/8. We'll see what my friend thinks

I am about a centimeter down the rabbit hole on "cottage industry" cans, and have noticed a few things...

There are a large number of companies producing light, titanium, welded-baffle-contruction cans in k, s, and L configurations. Their pricing varies wildly, for what appear to be identical products.

example:
Otter Creek Hydrogen S: $850, 7", 1.625" OD, 9.5oz
DD sTI: $675, 6.75", 1.625" OD, 9.3oz
DA Nomad S: $1015, 6.5", 1.735" OD, 9.6oz

What am I missing here? (other than about half a dozen identical cans from different companies)

You are missing longevity in the industry. Who knows where all of these Johnny come lately can manufacturers are going to be in 3, 5, 10 years.

I can confidently say the companies like Dead Air, Thunderbeast, Silencerco, etc will be around for the long haul.

To think that smaller companies are using equal materials, R&D, technology, etc and being able to sell cans cheaper is a fallacy. The big name places have the buying power for the raw materials, they have the equipment, and they engineers to make cans that work and are durable for the long haul. And they will be here when the others aren’t.
