LOL. A bunch of people buying guns for no good reason.

Including people who voted for the folks who are committed to taking them away.
Yep. Liberal at work bought a pistol in March, genuinely wanting it for self defense. Ammo is a little hard to come by. She was all happy for Biden, somebody mentioned her pistol. She was like “he has better stuff to do than worry about gun control right away... we’re in the middle of a pandemic, people need to protect themselves”

Uh huh

The whole concept is right over their heads

It is hard to understand how people rationalize stuff to conform with their wishes. Total disconnect with reality.

People accept small infringements constantly. That becomes normal and then another and another until one day you lost the battle you never fought.

“Your children’s children will live under communism, You Americans are so gullible. No, you won’t accept communism outright; but we will keep feeding you small doses of socialism until you will finally wake up and find you already have Communism. We will not have to fight you; We will so weaken your economy, until you will fall like overripe fruit into our hands. The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.” Nikita Khrushchev
Well, Nikita, 70 million Americans say otherwise...

That's what the Duke brothers did. Of course they were busted for bootlegging so they couldn't own firearms. 😁
Duke Boys, not brothers. Believe they were cousins. They didnt use guns. Only dynamite and an orange car they will not show on TV now.

Trump isn’t leaving without a major fight. I still have faith. As far as guns and ammo, I’ll use any excuse to get the wife to let me buy more lol

Shouldn't be an issue on the validity of ballots, but they have made it one.

If things were honest, an over whelming majority would be OK with the outcome. Wouldn't be happy, but would be OK to see if the other side are chumps and all talk or not.

At least the SCOTUS is a larger part Constitutionalists...

Certainly a possibility. Here in CA; ammo background check, no private sales without an in-store dealer background check, cannot privately sell more than 500 rounds a month without becoming a licensed dealer, mail order has to ship to lic dealer for transfer after background check.
Ammunition is what they are after now. The overwhelming thought is they feel ammo in not protected by the 2nd, only firearms. Hopefully with the new justices we can get some rulings in gun owners favor.
If they don't pack the court.

IMO - I shoot A lot, both target and pistol competition. My most significant concerns are around taxes on ammunition And limiting purchase quantities. It is the easiest way to strangle shooting sports by just making it too expensive. Some of my friends are high level USPSA shooters. natio ally ranked shooter, some with sponsors. They will shoot 2000-5000 pistol rounds a month easily. Many say they will quit the sport if restrictions are too extreme.
Agree. And these people that are so gung ho to tax ammo aren't even familiar with Pittman-Robertson which still funds the preservation of most open space. Meanwhile, trail runners (I am one), hikers (I am one), mountain bikers, and nature lovers of all sorts get a free ride. Pittman-Robertson was voluntary. We agreed to pay that tax to fund the places we love. If Biden/Harris get their way, ammo sales will become impossible or drop to levels that Pittman-Robertson is no longer funded. The folks getting the free ride on public lands can kiss thier access good bye. I guarantee you they will howl like a pack of dogs when an 11% excise tax is added to mountain bikes and hiking shoes.

Ammo has been short around here for a while. Too many people who think they are going to play the hero in an action movie buying tools to make up for a complete lack of training and strategic accumen. Many of them are people who never bothered with the sacrifice of putting on a uniform, but they want to be cool and sling a gun. They fail to understand that the difference between a solder and a thug is submission to the rule of law even when it is inconvenient. Same people claim to be for law and order while advocating the murder of their fellow citizens, actually attempting to commit large scale fraud, and attacking law enforcement agencies that do their job. Nothing like destroying the Constitution to defend the Constitution. Much of it is not because they are bad people, many of them are good people, but Trump opened the wilderness of mirrors and they lack the experience and moral foundation to navigate it. The only thing worse is the majority of the liberals are the exact same, meaning most of the country lacks the basic skills needed to perpetuate democracy, even with all the protections of a Constitutional Republic. It is not the clear understanding of a pilot that directs the ship of state any longer, but rather the constant pull in opposite directions. So far we have been lucky and had open enough waters that this has not lead to a collision, but it is only a matter of time before one side or the other runs the ship aground.

It has become a tails you loose heads you loose situation for everyone reasonable. AOC and Trump are mirror images of extremist vitriol and both parties pander to extremists bases in the primaries.

All the data suggests we have been under counting COVID deaths, but Trumpers still think it is a hoax. They promised it would go away in the summer, then when that did not happen they said it would go away after the election, will be interesting to see what mirages they create now to support anarchy in the name of freedom.

There has yet to be any valid evidence of attempts at mass election fraud to support the baseless claims of the election being stolen. Just like years of a special task force failed to substantiate Trump's 2016 claims of election fraud, he is pulling from the same script again. Even ultra partisan conservative judges in Texas are telling the Republicans to go pound sand. However, photoshop and poor reasoning ability have convinced many otherwise.

There is a song that says "you've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything" and I have sadly realized that most conservatives actually don't stand for anything, as evidenced by their willingness to abandon long held principles to follow a morally bankrupt actor and play the part of shills.

That is not party specific.
That is true, but it is liberal specific. If you're a conservative, there's no reason to try to "rationalize" our thinking because it already makes logical sense from the start. If it didn't, we would have scrapped those ideas and still wouldn't have anything to try to rationalize.

These are all great points. Most folks who buy plate carriers, front and side molle pouches, a handful of black rifles and call themselves a boog boi aren't going to the range and slinging lead and moving while doing it.

There are numerous ways that we can undermine potentially ridiculous laws, but my way ahead (I think) is to start supporting grass roots politics. Local politics is far more important to any American than Federal and if counties/states say they won't enforce unconstitutional laws then it keeps those laws at bay.

I'm not sure how reloading is treated in Cali but I'll be starting to reload in Texas here shortly that is for sure.

I can supply a lot of buddies with ammo for cheap and keep my costs low without breaking any laws.

Good luck on getting components, especially small rifle and small pistol primers. Small to midsize ammunition manufacturers are having to pay retail for components. Covid isn’t doing the supply chain any favors either.

Oh I am absolutely tracking that. It is absolutely out of hand.

At some point the manufacturers are going to get caught back up, but based on recent history I think we will continue to see a run on ammunition. It'll still be scarce once components become available again so I think it will be worthwhile to get started now so that the operation can really get moving after that.

The problem is that manufactures are buying components too. Not saying don't get started, buy stuff as you find it but until the run on ammo stops, components will be difficult to find.
