Great idea for backcountry protein

Hum.... interesting. I've cured LOTS of eggs... but they were all fish eggs. he, he. (wink)

On a side note, for those w/ chickens..... you can dip your eggs in olive oil and that'll extend the fridg/cellar life of eggs by 6 months. IOW, long enough to get through the winter months when they stop laying. Basically the oil seals the shells to the air, and it's the air that causes the eggs to go bad. Anyway just another traditional egg preservation technique.

I also heard you can hard boil & wax dip them for even longer self life, but I haven't found a reliable source to verify that. Anyone heard this as well?
