Can someone measure how much length the outsert adds to the shaft? Interested in the Kaos arrow and trying to figure how I would have to set them up to get the weight I want.

Also, anyone have nock durability issues? I've read that they break easily?

They had some nock issues a few years ago. But they solved the issues. The new kaos arrows don't even use the same nocks as the old kinetics. The kaos are using the gto bushing and gto pin nocks

The original nocks were made out of a harder plastic that broke instead of bending. I run Bohning A nocks in most all my .204" inside diameter shafts. I've tried the Accunocks as well, and they shoot great.....but they are also pretty fragile. The inside nock piece doesn't like staying inside much. But the Bohning A nocks are cheap and work great.

Thanks guys. I ordered half dozen Kaos Kinetics and some weight screws. Going to play around with them and see what I think.

You might be looking at my sale. I am selling one dozen. I built two. One for my Carbon Element G3 and one dozen for my Nitrium Turbo. The turbo needs a higher spine than the 300. So one dozen goes bye bye.
They are in classified section here too.

How do these work?
Do they just slide over the insert that comes with Kinetics and remain loose on the shaft? Or do you glue them on over top of the existing Gold Tip insert.

I have some older Kinetics, which I beleve they will work on.

You could do it either way. I have mine loose right now. There is a small amount of play on the 300 spine. I'm guessing they fit perfectly on the 200 spine since they have a slightly larger OD.

Yeah, saw yours on there. You mean a more stiff spine? Were they not grouping well?

Ok, I currently shoot GT XT hunters. For all the benefits of small diameter shafts I plan to switch here real soon. I've been lurking awhile waiting to hear the consensus on these new kaos and gold tips outsert fix. I only start fixing and fletching arrows last year. I'm all set up , saw and all to make my own arrows. But, this whole Insert, outsert ,collar , hot melt vs glue weights, g nocks , accu nocks etc... Has me a little intimidated on jacking around with very $$$ bare shafts and getting the set up that right for me. So if I may, and I hope this is not a hijacking ? what do u guys see and a good set up for a hunting and 3d arrow. I'm out west and longer shots are the norm. As you know. I just ordered a 5 pin adjustable sight form black gold. I do t know a whole lot about sight tapes but it sounds like I could have different tapes for different arrows if that were a more ideal situation ? So would you recommend trying to fit one arrow into my budget conscious attempt at hunting /3d /back yard block idea or build different setups with the advantage of the slider tape?

30 inch draw,
67 pounds,

Thanks for your time

Jmez,
They bare shafted close out of the turbo. I prob could have shot them and never noticed a diff.
But I am very picky. When I made them the OnTarget told me they were weak for the Nitrum but I wanted to see for myself.
They tune perfectly out of my Carbon Element. The Nitrium Turbo is supercharged. Mine is shooting 5fps over its IBO.
Went to a stiffer spine for it.

You going to go with a .200? I'm shooting a G3 Element right now. I may buy a Carbon Turbo, haven't decided yet on that front. If you go to the .200 let me know how they do as I may need a similar arrow.

No. I picked up a dozen 260 EASTON Axis. Added a wee bit of weight up front and have them at exactly 500 grains shooting 288 fps and bare shafts grouping together as far as I wast to shoot them.

I'll be running the .300 kaos at 500gr. I wish they were a little heavier actully. I'm going to have to cut them long or add weights to the insert to get that weight.

You could try the Black Eagle Rampage 250's. They are almost identical in size and weight to the Kinetic 300's, at 10.7gpi instead of 10.4gpi. But you also get the .250 spine without having to go with the 200's. You could put 75gr or 50gr brass HIT's in them as well.

I have some at 30" with regular HIT's, 125's, and Silent Knight vanes that weigh 481gr. With the 75gr HIT's they'd be 540gr. My Kinetic 200's are 532gr.

.300 should be fine. Shooting a .330 FMJ Injexion now with a 55gr insert and 125gr broadheads with no issue. That arrow weighs right at 500gr. They are 11 gpi. I really wish easton would make this in a .300.

I'm also going to try the FMJ with the new outsert system from No limit Archery. I won't use the Deep Six inserts and don't like the HIT system.

I've been using HIT's in multiple different arrows for almost 10 years, and have never had a single issue with them at all. I hear from people like you that don't like them, but I've never seen a reason to not like them. Outserts on the other hand.......have been a pain in the butt with bending, breaking, or ruining the ends of the shafts.
