First Whitetail Buck

My son Sam is 12 and while he has shot a couple of nice mule deer bucks, he had not yet got a whitetail buck. This past fall that was the mission for him and I. We ended up finding a good buck that was in full on rut mode, but had to crawl 500 yards into position. It was a bit of a gong show and a bit comical trying to get the buck to stand up with Sam having to shoot more than once, but it was a great time and a good ending to his first whitetail buck.
