What's your standby Whitetail hunting knife?

I’d like to update my answer from a while ago… was a Benchmade saddle mountain skinner. Last year I switched to the Havalon piranta, and that is one of the best purchases I’ve made recently. Phenomenal knife and convenience. All I’ll use going forward

Knives of Alaska ultralight hunter pocket knife. If quartering for a pack out then I throw in an Outdoor Edge replaceable blade just to be able to keep the meat clean with a clean blade after skinning. This K of A folder is also my edc, I just love it and if I ever loose it I will be ordering another. (In fact my first one slipped down an ice fishing hole a few years back) Will not go a day of my life without it!

270, I have 3
For my needs it’s the hardest hitting non magnum I own.
For reference I have 5 rifles that haven’t killed a deer, and I will like still be hunting the rut with a 270.

They all shoot different loads, but a 150 partition is a killer.
Inside 100 yards the front half explodes and the last 1/3 with chunks of jacket passes through leaving a 3/4 exit wound and great blood. Ideal for most situations inside of 400 yards
