What's your standby Whitetail hunting knife?

Argali Serac has become a favorite of mine. If I’m counting correctly I’m at 5 whitetail, a muley, and an antelope since I’ve had this knife and I’ve only touched up the blade once.

The Serac has been on my list for a while. I make knives on the side, but that knife is so capable looking and lightweight

I know this thread is old but my hunting carry knife is a Marble's that my grandfather passed down to me through my mom when I went on my first deer hunt. That was at 16. I am now 66. Yes, it's too big for precise work but every time I pull it out of my pack it reminds me to be grateful and say "thank you" for everything that has been given me. 100's of big game animals have been on the receiving end of that Marbles. It helps keep me grounded in the excitement after the shot. When I take that knife out of the pack it Ialways slows me down and makes me contemplate and appreciate the life I have taken. Lot's of knives in the gun locker, Ruana's, Olson's, Randall's... but that 125 year old Marble's Ideal is what still goes out the door with me.

I’d struggle , or what we know of today as struggling, in order to use that knife. Native Americans did it with sharpened rock, yiur grandpa probably finished harvesting many of game w that knife, sometimes doing things the way they did in memory means more than having it easy.
