I agree! I won't take this thread down ye olde "Cabela's sucks since Bass Pro..." route, but those knives were a prime example of the quality they used to have. I'd still love to get my hands on the 113 Ranger model in that series. Come to think of it, all the Buck knives in that hunting line are excellent. Someone else mentioned the Vanguard - another timeless blade.

I have had a Puma SGB clearcut for years, sturdy holds a great edge. Solid/simple knife at a good price.

Argali Serac has become a favorite of mine. If I’m counting correctly I’m at 5 whitetail, a muley, and an antelope since I’ve had this knife and I’ve only touched up the blade once.
