Last i inquired with NF, it wasn't rated for water tightness or something like that when used with the cap off all the time.

More like “isn’t rated for diving”…. NF is a tad conservative.

have a trijicon tenmile ffp and sfp, trying to figure out which scope to keep vs sell. is having a FFP less of a big deal on a magnum when you're not going to be able to spot your shot anyways? I have the tenmile sfp mounted already and shot out to 800 with it. familiar with shooting on 12x (half power ) and the corresponding holdovers for wind. rarely shoot it too. have 2 6.5 cms and a 223 with ffps already that I use way more often.
