What usually happens is new acquisitions are combined into existing plants that have cheaper costs, but usually lower quality control. With the new company Barrett will stay and expand with its workforce and quality control, and be the site for future expansion.A lot of companies get sold and quality suffers because new owners start cutting corners to maximize profits. Just look at literally every company that freedom group bought if you want a perfect example. It doesn't happen every time, but it happens very frequently.

It sounds like Barrett was ready to retire and not wanting to put the investment into expansion. New owners will allow that to happen. I would like a .243 and maybe a 25-06!
