Eurooptic Experience

Every order I've had with them went smoothly and I will order from them again.

Several orders included items that were not the right size, so I called for an "exchange". Both times I was advised it's easier to simply return the item for full refund (I was not charged restocking) and I could order the correct size "at my convenience". Their standard free shipping is orders over $250, so a returned/refunded $200 coat will cost you shipping to them and unless you go over $250 you will have shipping on the reordered item back to you. They run a business, so I understand paying shipping BOTH ways on "exchanges", but some people seem to expect it nowadays.
 
The only issues I’ve had with EuroOptic is their UPS terms make impossible to switch delivery requirements or holds at a UPS store after a label is originated. This is as much UPS as them but calling them to order saves a lot of headaches getting a signature required delivery in the middle of the work week when no one is home.

The secret sauce for EuroOptic is to call them before you order, they will often quote you a lower number and make accommodations.

I apologize it took me 10 days to discover this, I am not super active on this forum.

Thanks, Jake. Sorry I didn't see this earlier as I'm a somewhat infrequent internet user. My RMA # is 48894. The story has apparently changed now and I'm being told by my bank that the item was marked "as is" and so is not returnable at all. This is a terrible bank so I am pretty much at your mercy at this point. I greatly appreciate any assistance you can provide.
 
I've had generally good experiences with EuroOptic over the years, but I don't recall ever needing to do a return.
 
I can`t speak for the online sales issues or the return issues.... but.... from what i`ve just read here within this thread, wow, EO has some work to do by the sounds of it.

I`m not far from Euro Optic, so i just hop in the car an drive to their store in a couple hours one way. For those who doubt they have a store, they surely do, have a store. Its an ok store inside. (exception to the many stairs!)

Seems to take a minute for the staff to realize your there now. (unlike the old store use to be, where you were greeted instantly) Just because you have a great big pretty store now, doesn`t mean you should stop greeting your customers. The customer needs to know they are still the reason your business exists.

One thing they really need to work on, in house, is the staff there. I don`t want or need to hear why you hate Vortex scope`s, or any other brand for that matter. Best to keep your personal opinions to your self and just stick to selling the products you have there without all the fanboi sh!t injected while you`re on the clock. And turn your damn hats around and try to look professional. You ain`t gangsters, so try not acting an looking like one.

The staff and owner(s) also need to work on getting products pulled from down in the basement. Pretty slow getting stuff up the elevator to the customer.

And please, stop bringing me open boxes and then try to sell it to me for the full price of a factory sealed box.

I really do hope that "Euro Optic Jake" takes care of the OP, and also comes through on their end with some GOOD price breaks for being RS members in here. I`d like to see REAL price savings, not just a few pennies here an there. Make it worth our time, "Jake".

It would be nice if they had an elevator for us old folks. Those stairs wear me the hell out by the time i get to the top of the stairs to the main store.

LMAO , WOW , tell me you're old and crotchety without actually saying it . The store tried to give you free valuable advice about Vortex but you assume YOU know more than the people that actually work in the industry ? You want to be greeted go to Walmart .

Sorry , but I feel you were just taking a cheap shot at EO and had no real bitch , just got your feelings hurt because they trashed your Vortex .
What did they actually do that was so wrong ? If you don't have a grievance are you just giving your opinion on how to run a business ?

Unfortunately this hasn't been resolved, but I don't want to assume the worst. I'm sure it's a busy time for companies who import a lot. I've reached out in DMs, but I haven't gotten a response. I'm hoping if nothing else I can at least get the items back so i can try to sell them here, provided I can get the same items I returned back. It's been over 5 months now that they've had the items without issuing a refund.

Update: I've redisputed the charge with the bank and resubmitted evidence that they failed to account for in the previous dispute showing that, in spite of EuroOptics new claims to my bank, the items were returnable even though they were on sale (evidence being the approved RMA pdf they provided to me clearly marked indicating a full refund) and i expect them to hopefully rule in my favor in the next couple months. Suffice it to say I won't be buying anything from EuroOptics after this 6 month ordeal and I won't be using this bank either.
 
Sucks you are going through that man - I've had nothing but great experiences with everyone I've dealt with over there.
Appreciate it - and all of the support more generally. I'm just ready for it to be over. It's far from the worst thing that's ever happened to me, but it gets old having to think about it, spend hours on hold...etc.

So they have won and I'm out over $700 and can't even try to resell the items because they accepted the return, kept the items, and didn't issue a refund. This is clearly fraud and I'm not sure what to do next. I'm open to any suggestions if you guys know any good attorneys or know of a legal avenue I can take. Now to break it to my wife that I got scammed... probably should have done that already, but it just seemed so ridiculous that I didn't think it would end this way.
 
I think they just had a new representative join Rokslide. I wonder what he thinks of that?

That's wild. They kept the items, didn't refund, and your bank doesn't care? Hard to see how that's possible. Sorry man, that sucks.
