For hunting go suppressed. Put a Thunderbeast brake on it while waiting for your can to clear (ultra 5 or 7 for a can).
I ordered the answer from American Precision Arms. Going to hit the local spot by my house, they have a ton of silencers. What does clearing mean? I don’t think South Carolina has a wait on it I may be wrong though.

My rifle with Talley lightweight medium height mounts. Leupold Scope 4-12x50mm, and my APA The Answer muzzle brake will be her Thursday. Pretty jacked to get on the range with this gun!66E030E0-D5FE-4B6C-906B-85F998E2594D.jpegDF41B343-DF43-4192-B980-2EB8A26DCEA1.jpeg

Holy smokes dude you’re on a roll. This thread is only 7 days old and look at you now. I like your drive! You’ll do well pilgrim!
Haha there ain’t much else I take serious than hunting, and if I’m traveling out west I’m going to be successful by god. I just applied for a cow elk tag as well and a preference point in Colorado. Hoping to get a cow tag draw as well just so I have an option in third rifle season

I’m guessing they mean waiting to clear the nfa bg check. It’s a bit of a hassle but so very much worth it. Shooting and hunting suppressed is a game changer.

You’ll have a wait anywhere you buy a suppressor.

Nfa is a different ballgame. You’ll be waiting. I promise.
Well that’s crazy was reading and it said 10 months, but now it’s digital and takes up to 2 months. You can buy one they will hold it and then when you get your stamp you pick it up. Two months doesn’t seem to long!

You making your own suppressor? If not, you won’t get it in 2 months.

For scientific purposes I bought a can right when eforms were released in December. I certified early January, and called the atf to make sure everything was correctly done.

I still don’t have my approved form 4.

Maybe at some point we’ll see 60 day approvals on a consistent basis.

I do see a few people online reporting 75 days with others in Russ’s shoes. I’m sure some have been under 60 days.

I’m still mad because up until now I’ve talked myself out of any NFA items. I won’t be able to hold out long with only a couple month wait.

That said, how on earth do they justify an e-form reducing the wait by 6 months? Did they need new or more carts in the mail room?

Typical .gov efficiency.

I shoot a 30-06 but sometimes I think if I were to do it all over again I'd get a 6.5 with a threaded barrel and plastic body. I'm not sure how much lighter then 6lbs 2oz I could get though. Good on ammo for at least this year so that's the one I'llshoot, lol.

If we had 60 day approvals, I’d have more suppressors.

If I ever moved back to the lower 48, ek would be my focus and I’d probably pick my 30-06. In fact I’ll say that if I ever find myself living in the lower 48 again, I’ll probably get rid of pretty much everything but a 30-06.
