I would like to see a 6.8 western. I don't need it i simply want it.
My first tikka modification was to install a threaded 6mm creed barrel on a gunbroker auction T3x action deal. Then I went on to purchase take off barrels 6.5 creed and 6.5 prc for $150 or less, chop them and install them on other actions. I have a T3 action 270wsm that my dad left for me which carries the prc barrel. I’ll eventually have them threaded and suppressed. I wonder what percentage of their market is guys buying their rifles to modify them.Dear Tikka,
If you are listening, there is still time to roll out some new concepts for the 2025 Shot Show. Here are a few ideas and you don’t even need to change your stocks. Just shorten and thread a few barrels and offer a new chambering or two. You will sell more rifles.
The following are on my Christmas list and since Finland is so close to the North Pole, I’m hoping you can help Santa out.
A 16”, 18” or 20” threaded stainless T3X in .223. I’m not even picky. You choose the length.
An 18” or 20” threaded stainless T3X in 6mm Creedmoor.
I’m sure some Roksliders will add some other ideas to their Christmas lists, but remember Santa, I asked first.
You may see something announced around SHOT show in January.I would also like to see tikka chamber some in the 6 creed as well
NOOOOT2X.
An actual short action.
This is already in their Sako line. They will likely not be bringing this to their budget line.T2X.

That would be an announcement that I'd be excited about! "One small step for Tikka, one giant leap for Tikka-kind."You may see something announced around SHOT show in January.
Still might be quicker than new chamberings from them as is.I think we are going to need to get proactive for our cause. However, Tikka is owned by Beretta Holdings which is a private company. So, we can’t just buy a big enough voting share to make them bend to our will. We are going to have to play the long game. Here is my plan.
Beretta Holdings’ executives are all old Italian guys with the last name Beretta. So we have no hope of getting Ryan or Jake installed as a VP of Operations. I think we need to have a Rokslider seduce one of the executives’ grand daughters. However, I’ve seen many of your photos in your profile pics and most of you are too ugly for this mission. We need one of the young bucks on here to step up and move to Italy, marry into the Beretta family and then wait. When you have enough power in the family and company, we will activate our Rokslide sleeper agent and have you implement our wishes of shorter, threaded barrels and new chamberings. This plan should only take 15-20 years, but it’s fool proof.
Wishful thinking or you hearing anything of merit? You may see something announced around SHOT show in January.
Could be a bit of both, cannot legally say either way sorry.Wishful thinking or you hearing anything of merit?
I’d consider it a need. I rather not build a t3x lite threaded in 6.8western if tikka would just do it for me.I would like to see a 6.8 western. I don't need it i simply want it.
And in stainless! If they could produce the 6cm and 6.5cm in the 16” roughtech ranch, watch out…
