Dead Air Nomad Ti XC

Edit 10/15/24
I have one here on a form 3 and will be testing it head to head against a scythe ti. Will also compare it to a DD Enticer Lti even though its not a direct comparison like the scythe.
If any of you have specific questions or testing you want to see, let me know.

I have that same model.

Scythe is a full inch shorter and 1.4 ounces lighter with a flat titanium front cap
We will see which one sounds better tomorrow

I went through this thread and watched your videos and viewed your pictures as well as read your commentary. I wanted to thank you for the comprehensive information and easy to understand explanations for those of us like me new to exploring getting a suppressor. It helped me make up my mind and this was so much more enjoyable than reading a review by a professional writer on only 1 product rather than comparing two that he was most likely compensated for doing. So thanks again…awesome info and great job!

I doubt you'll be disappointed in any way. I have a couple new cans to compare to the Nomad here soon when I get a few things finished up, but right now the Nomad is still my favorite can I've shot behind.

I have a scythe and nomad ti xc. I like the sound of the nomad a lot better. I'm not sure if I can feel any difference in weight or balance.

But now I'm jonesing to try a zero gravity and US 666 or og6.5. Be nice if I could shoot them

I don’t have it in my hand yet as I have to wait for the feds blessing…but can you answer for me since I’m a novice…do I need any special tools and adapters I have to purchase or is it just plug and play? I see it says things like “direct thread” and i assume that means I just thread it on the end of my barrell when I remove the radial brake. I have a Christensen Ridgeline now but am upgrading to an seekins havak element m3. Which I believe he both are 5/8” x 24 thread pitch

As long as they're 5/8-24 then you're fine. If you want you can get an alignment rod to make sure you don't get a baffle strike, but with a Seekins I'm sure the thread is straight.

Thanks. What do you recommend sightheight being above the barrel so you don’t see the can in the scope? Right now I think my crosshairs measure 2 inches above the center of the bore…just curious when I upgrade gun and scope rings if I go with that medium height scope rings like I planned or if I have to get the high scope rings?

I did get a few other 'supressor accessories' for my XC Ti: Ti direct thread to save a tiny amount of weight, the DA one is steel, and I made a suppressor cover as mirage is really bad after two shots. Neither is necessary if you're hunting and only shooting slow.

The thing I'd recommend though is a suppressor cleaner, I have the Breakthrough kit.

If you bought dead air it will come with direct thread (spin right on your threaded barrel), dead air also will come with their different adapters if you ordered one that way. Still nothing special for that. Just follow the instructions on getting it mounted.

As for seeing it in the scope, you may see it on low power but only a little in the bottom of your sight picture. I have a 3-15 and don’t see it after 5 power.

I have such bad eye sight that I never go below 7x on my 3x15 VX5 😂. Thanks for the info i appreciate it. Totally a novice here with suppressors. Any idea why the dead air nomad suppressor cover is over twice the money as other high temp covers? Can anyone recommend a good suppressor cover for the nomad ti xc?
