For gas Guns, I’m liking the OCL Polonium. It’s pretty sweet. OCL builds nice products and I have been impressed.

Omega has been just fine and good all-purpose that I swap between gas and bolt guns with ASR mounts.

Wish OCL could get that Hydrogen S can in stock. I’m super happy with my Polo 30 but would love a lighter one for hunting.

OCL must be limited on production. I have not found a consistent supply of their suppressors. I waited a couple of months for both the Polonium and a Lithium to get back in stock. I would like a Hydrogen L but was told they are not produced very often and not sure when the next run will happen.

The owner has said a few times that the Hydrogens are a very small fraction of what they sell, so they only do a few runs a year. The 6.5 hydrogen even less. I have four hydrogens, just have to watch for restocks to grab one.

Considering a few suppressor options for the following rifles in my rotation.

- 18" 6 Arc Gasser (hunting + defense)
- 12.5 5.56 Gasser (some hunting but mostly defense)
- Tikka CTR in 6.5 Manbun (too heavy for hunting in current configuration)
- Tikka SL in 7 Mag - would have to be chopped/threaded (primary hunting rifle currently)

Thinking of the following to jump between them

- DA Ti XC - would this be a good fit for the gas guns?
- Scythe - same question
- CAT Noah or DA Lazarus - seem to be a good fit for the gassers

Is the best solution to optimize between the gassers and bolt guns?

It depends on your priorities. Suppression vs back pressure. Personal experience, I use a Magnus on 300WM, 6.5 PRC, .308 (all bolt action guns), and 6.8 SPC AR. There's some gas coming back out the charging handle in that latter setup, I could mitigate that with a suppressor change such as a HUXWRX but, then I'm getting less suppression. Since my priority is suppression and I'm only shooting short target sessions or 1-2 rounds at game, I'm accepting more back pressure.

My wife, when shooting/ comparing a 20" 5.56 AR with a 5.56 HUXWRX and a Magnus, she preferred the HUXWRX because there's less gas coming out the charging handle for to inhale compared to shooting with the Magnus. She was fine with less suppression and less gas vs more suppression and more gas.

Sure, but they are a small shop, and I think a huge part of their capacity right now is just filling back orders for the more popular models. Signup for stock alerts on a couple of the bigger sites, and you will get them in time. They go quicker on SilencerShop vs Hanson/Bauer/Etc.

I have the non-Ti version. I know that the thread on here says it sucks, but my opinion is that people were expecting too much from it. It is a large bore can that is 1.6" in diameter and 6.6 inches in length (DT config). As always in the suppressor game, volume is key to suppression. A bit of critical thinking would lead you down the path of putting a smallish suppressor on a 338 mag means that it is still going to be pretty loud.

That being said, I bought mine because I wanted something that would reduce the recoil and take away the majority of the muzzle blast on my big 338. It does that great. It won't reduce the recoil better than a muzzle break, but no suppressor will. It does however allow me to shoot a short barreled 338 without having my chrono blown off the shooting bench and without making me (and everyone around me) feel like they are getting punched in the chest with every shot. I have used it while hunting as well and while I still use electronic ear-pro, the guys I was hunting with had no issues when I shot.

Also, the ability to put the Rugged Universal Mount on it and attach it to my 9mm target pistol is just flat out fun.

I’m sure they have a back order list that tells them how many of each can is getting ordered and back ordered. Simply them allocating resources to what sells quickest to keep the lights on.

You are absolutely right, which is why I always recommend against a "do-all" can. The Alaskan was can #8 for me and is used exclusively on my 338 Sherman Mega and my CZ75 comp gun.

Even at 11 pounds it is a bear to shoot without a can but the Hybrid tames the recoil quite a bit. It’s still loud enough I don’t shoot it at the range without ears but it doesn’t ring my ears while hunting and I have the barrel cut back to 20”.
