My 16" AR's are much more accurate. I also have a Savage Trail Hunter Lite in 5.56 that'll put 10 in an inch, but 20" barrel. So Question... would everybody say these types of grouping sizes could be considered "common" when ya drop barrel length down to 16" like this model?
My thought was, I want another .223 Rem gun so that both myself and my son could have one at same time on an outing to go coyote calling, and then it would also have that benefit of the packability for when I want to consider trying to use it in rough alpine terrain.
And I figured it'd be a great gun to bring with before the season when you're doing your scouting, so ya maybe bring it along to try some sets calling for yotes since ya happen to already be out there looking for where the deer are passing thru.
The other gentleman that mentioned that Rossi LWC, I'm diggin on those too, great caliber options, but I just don't wanna commit to a single-shot action style. At least not yet anyway.
Kinda thinking I might just go with a Howa Mini-Action, since I was impressed with the Ultralite.
I need to load some of the 73 Bergers and see what they do in handloads.
A guy could definitely make it a handy 200 yard rifle, but when I've got handy 700 yard rifles, it's hard for this to get much love.
