CPW to hold special Meeting to address Copper Creek wolf pack

This is getting good... We ought to see some movement here that should expose the Wolf Reintroduction for what it is and/or cause those running the program, AKA the Governor, to do something stupid… All this happening during the third scheduled reintroduction window is great.

I’m worried about delisting and how that might send management back to the state. Hopefully if that happens it returns outside of the 10j rules and CPW can manage it how they want. Obviously the packing of CPW by the Governor will work against that but hopefully better than the current path.

Love to see the current Co ruling elite finally getting dressed down! It was crazy from the start how much they bent and broke rules to suit their agenda.

Well Polis is term-limited and will be gone after 2026. A take down is unlikely He's done about as much damage to the CPW commission and CPW director as possible. Who knows what damage to other departments can be done as a lame duck. Wish he'd focus on the current budget shortfall.

I guess good news is that there are more independent/unaffiliated, 50+%, voters in Colorado that are sick of both sides. Although, I would suspect a good chunk of these voters are left leaning from the Denver metro area. The Dems no longer have the super-majority they once had but the margin is slim.

Of the Dem front runners, in my opinion, Michael Bennet would be preferable to Phil Weiser. Of the Reps, I believe Barbara Kirkmeyer and Scott Bottoms are the front runners. Kirkmeyer is in the state senate, Bottoms, in the state house. Greg Lopez who was another contender on the Rep side is now running as an independent.
