Yet Another Magnum vs. Small Bore Cartridge Conundrum

Do you have any first hand experience shooting animals with smaller cartridges? Any reason at all to argue that a 6.5 with good bullets wouldn't kill as effectively as your 300wsm... I watched this Alaskan moose get killed with my 22 creedmoor. And a significant amount of other animals. A buddy of mine killed a grizzly with a 22 arc yesterday. I'm pretty sure the OP would be fine with any 6.5 for any moose or bear on the planet earth.

Yea and they stand around for 15 min before they tip over. Ive shot upwards of 400 big animals from a 222 rem to an 45/70 Gov and am pretty aware of what puts them on the ground quickly. I own an hand load for a substantial amount of weapons. And I just didn’t fall off the banana boat ⛵️. Everyone really loved that video on YouTube of the Outdoors men crippling up a moose with 5 shots from a 22 arc before it finally died, we all were impressed.

I’ve seen tons of videos of moose eating up a full mag of 30 cal and larger magnum cartridges too before tipping over.

Anything smaller than 50BMG is wholly inadequate (tongue in cheek).
