Country music

For so many years I had always thought that country music was all the same sh!t just rehashed by new faces. (Now I realise all genres are the same)
I mean how many songs can you write about your wife leaving, crashing your truck and taking your dog in the divorce.........

Then a few years ago I started getting into the more of the pop/country type stuff which lead me down the country rabbit hole.
Still finding my favourites and really drilling down on what "country" is to me, but there are some fantastic recommendations in here.
Thanks to all who have shared here 🤙🤙

Treaty Oak Revival. My both under 16 kids said “Dad, this sounds like something you would listen to “. They were spot on.
I saw them live last winter. Absolutely elite, 12/10 show. They've easily become my favorite band in the last few years. My girlfriend, who is pretty meh on country music as a whole, said it was head and shoulders her favorite concert shes ever been to. She listens to them regularly now. Dexter and the Moonrocks are kinda Treaty Oaks little brother if you're not familiar with them.

Haven't dug back too far to see if they've already been mentioned, but Blake Whiten and Zach John King are two younger up and comers who will be making a name for themselves in the coming years.

Corb Lund is playing in Greeley on Friday night, and I'll be there singing along about Canadian cowboy life, playing cards, and death by way of antique archaic blackpowder pistol.
We saw him in Wichita back in 2024. When he sang MC Horses it about brought a tear to my eye. I miss that ION country every once in a while. Corb and Ian make it hard to forget
