Country music

Feels like the place for this one.

This song just pulls hard on my heart. My grandparents mostly raised me. Mom and dad were too busy or whatever. I was probably a little a$$hole too. Kids are like that, ya know.

Anyway, this one popped up while I was driving one day a few years back and I had to pull over for a minute it hit me so hard.

Anyway probably too much for this thread but enjoy the song.

The Highwaymen are legends
I love The Highwaymen, Guy Clark should be way more well known than he is. He wrote that one about his grandmother's boyfriend.

It’s funny how some of these newer guys with great older sound come out the gate like a bat out of hell to just run out of steam and get ghey. Childers , Bryan, bingham all on my skip list for being clowns .
If you haven't already check out Colin stough
Zach Bryan?

He came out of the gate as a clown.

This is the kind of music I was raised on. Both my grandfather, and my father played it as kids. My father played the guitar, and my grandfather played pretty much everything, from the guitar to the fiddle to the banjo, and anything else he could get his hands on. He was especially accomplished on the fiddle, and although he didn’t think he was very good with the banjo, in my mind, he was the king. Among other things, my father built guitars as a hobby, and he fancied his builds to be as good, if not better than Martin’s. Here’s a picture of my grandfather and father in the early 1940’s and a few pictures of one of my father‘s custom built guitars, that my daughter currently plays.
