Joe Biden is a demented stooge. At his best he was a liberal. Pelosi is a far to the left liberal. Neither is or has been a socialist. COMPARED to the twit squad those two are moderates. A large percentage of the Democrat Socialist Party is indeed socialist, and a growing number of them admitted Marxist. A vast majority of that Party is far to the left liberal. There are very few moderates (such as a Joe Manchin) and no conservatives. That Party is having a power struggle between the far to the left liberals and the socialists/Marxists.
The Republican Party had been liberal for a very long time. Oh they look conservative in comparison to the Democrat Socialists. What the liberals and power globalists have wanted for a very long time is a socialist Democrat Party and a liberal Republican Party, then they couldn't lose. President Trump put a big cog in that gear for a time being.

I guess I could imagine a situation where negative stereotypes about a party or candidate could lead to bad political outcomes for that party or person.

If the South Park writers were public Trump supporters and they did that, I think it would embolden the Trump racist narrative. Since they likely aren't, it probably doesn't. I don't think that's fair. I get that the hypocrisy you're pointing out is real.
