Good that the Senate whip (Democrat) is not in support of this as currently written.

I can't believe we have to deal with this unconstitutional, taxpayer waste of time legislation every year. There is nothing stopping this onslaught from happening every single year from here to eternity. Can we get some moderate democrats and non-reactionary republicans back?

I just wrote Sen Roberts, who usually votes moderate. He did vote YES for the stricter CCW requirements last year which irked me but was against last years AWB.

Colorado senators debate de facto ban on assault weapons

Colorado state senators are entering into the fourth hour of a heated debate over a proposal to ban on firearms with detachable magazines, such as semiautomatic firearms and gas-operated semiautomatic

He is in a competitive swing district. Hunters should recall that Exum cast one of the deciding votes to confirm career anti-hunting activist Jess Beaulieu to the CPW Commission. Exum also voted to endorse Prop 127 as a committee member of the El Paso County Democratic Party, even when the Colorado Democratic didn't take a position and remained neutral. Prop 127 was rejected 53-46 in El Paso county.

I hope he pays a political price for his anti-hunting position and is recalled.

He should be worried. El Paso co has recalled legislators before due to anti gun votes.
