It’s so sleazy. Trampling rights juuuuust as much as they think the a get away with before recalls or fuel for the opposition to your presidential hopes. They’ve got the votes and desire to pass a ban/surrender bill but no intestinal fortitude. Cowards.

Also, HB 24-1348 is listed on the 2025 Big Game Brochure (look at New for 2025 on the front cover). It refers to firearms left in unattended vehicles. It states that handguns must be in a hard locked case if left in an unattended vehicle. Firearms that are not handguns (rifles, shotguns), must be in a LOCKED hard sided or soft sided case, and the firearm must also have a lock on the firearm itself.
You've misread the law fyi. If a rifle is in a locked hard side case it does not require a firearm lock also, that provision is for soft sided cases.

However "hunting" is an exception but what are the boundaries involved when "hunting"? Is it door to door, at the trail head, what??? Its a stupidly vague law.

Thanks for the correction. I reread it, and you are correct, you only have to have the lock on the "non handgun" if it is in a soft case. I stand corrected. Thanks again! I edited my original post to reflect correct information.
