I appreciate it. That photo is only 2 weeks after the surgery. I'm 9 weeks out now. Incision is nicely healed, but internally still pretty tender. I thought it would be further along, but at least I was able to draw. I tried 2 weeks ago and it wasn't even close to possible yet.

Are non expanding practice heads ok?

it has to be what you shoot the animal with.

So a SEVR, you can lock the blades but it's still what you shoot the animal with.

But other brands, you have a practice head that's essentially a field point so not allowed

Hey [mention]robby denning [/mention] have you all considered only allowing one weapon choice per person? Seems like a headache for you all to count both weapon entries for a single individual!

Also in the spirit of trying to mimic a hunting scenario, we don’t carry around a compound AND a trad bow around in the woods, well maybe some guys do….

Anyhow just a thought, limiting to one weapon and one entry per person might simplify things a bit.

Love this competition, my bow is shooting better than it was in the fall so let’s hope I don’t fall apart in the next couple months

Hey my man, I appreciate you looking out for us, I really do.

And it would make it simpler but we figure if guys are shooting both Trad and compound, We’re willing to play along and give them an extra chance in it.

Honestly, with taking this to a three-arrow challenge last year and only allowing broadheads or expandables, it’s simplified enough it’s a lot more manageable than under the previous rules.

And when we ran the numbers from the five arrow versus the three arrow, guys were shooting roughly the same percentage of hits and misses so three seems to predict it well enough

So keep shooting straight, hope you don’t blow your bow up between now and then lol (mine seems to blow when I’m at my peak)
