So is this just an encouragement to switch to sub-par monos in Colorado? Or is this outlawing lead core stuff? From what I can tell it doesn’t ban lead (yet), but maybe I’m wrong

This is more of a concern than lead bullets..

Colorado Dems are vying to out California California. There are something like 5 anti gun bills in process right now with a few more possibly in the pipeline. Ranging from raising the age to buy a long gun to a 3 day waiting period to expanding the current red flag law and a few more. The latest that passed the house allows counties to ban people from shooting on their own property regardless of where they live or how much land they have.

Colorado is on it's way to becoming a failed state.

What are they going to do with the turned in ammo? Sell it out of state? I wonder if LEO in Colorado have to carry non lead?

Buy a bunch of cheap cup and core ammo and trade it in for some Barnes or something then sell that stuff at a profit. System beat.
Where exactly is the state getting its funding to purchase said lead free? Oh yeah, the taxes you paid.

Not exactly beating the system.

It's no secret lead is going by the wayside at some point. As the performance of copper is so off-putting, I am sure some will give up the sport instead of taking their animals year and in year out with monotonous regularity with those sub-par monos.
