My wife tells my kids all the time, if you don’t have anything nice to say about someone, don’t say anything. Seems she might need to get on here and straighten some of you kids out

Well my wife and I are both 40 now and we have more and more of our parents/grand parents coming out of us everyday lolMy grandma used to say the same thing, and now that I’m 50 years old I always think “wow that woman was right!” Worlds just a better place when we act that way.

Man, you're lucky. My Grandma never said anything like that. I just opened my mouth, said things and then she would tell me my "ass was grass" and she meant it.My grandma used to say the same thing, and now that I’m 50 years old I always think “wow that woman was right!” Worlds just a better place when we act that way.

Are you hastagging?Had to ask for help creating a pdf the other day. Just like the “don’t become your parents” tv commercial. Sad moment. 39 years old.
Agreed. He’s worked hard to get where he’s atHe just put out a new book called Endure. I don't do social media so I only knew about him from Joe Rogan's podcast. I don't elk hunt so I never had a huge interest. I think his book is inspiring. The things he has accomplished in his life are pretty amazing. He's a normal guy who still works a 9-5 job and has never missed a day in 25 years. Gets up every morning to run, sometimes a full marathon before work. Lifts weights every day and shoots his bow every day. He has videos drilling targets out to 180 yards. In his book he must say "you don't need to do any of this to kill a bull" 50x. You can also see how effortlessly he runs up and down mountains that would make most people puke and killed bulls consistently on public land for years. Love him or hate him you should respect him. People think he's arrogant with his "Must be nice". If I worked as hard as him and heard it must be nice all the time I would be pissed too. If you love bow hunting and are looking for an book to motivate and inspire you I highly recommend Endure. Even if you don't hunt at all it's a great book.
He has as many haters as anyone in the outdoor industry, and I really don’t understand it. I have not read his books (my goal for this calendar year IS to learn to read, so maybe in the future ) but I do think I would enjoy his books… his video content is a bit over the top for me, and I have never really needed an inspirational speech about anything, if I enjoy something, I’m a self motivated person, so I don’t care to watch his videos, but I very much appreciate what he’s done, how he reaches people, and his recognition and opportunities are a direct reflection of his insane work ethic…He just put out a new book called Endure. Good perspective. I don’t ever see him hiding the fact that some of his hunts are on great land. I’d hunt there too if i could prolly. He has as many haters as anyone in the outdoor industry, and I really don’t understand it. He has been a grinder his whole life, and has a freakish motivation to succeed in life. He used to bug me a little, but that ended when I realized that was a me thing, not anything he has done, he’s a crazy hard worker who has an equally intense positive attitude… might not be for me, but I do have a ton of respect for him.
He has also maintained integrity all of these years, which isn’t common in the outdoor industry
It’s funny when people say he kills a lot of stuff because of the exclusive land he hunts, which may be true, but he made a name for himself being a public land killer, he really has nothing to prove at this point, he’s done it… I would be willing to bet everything I have that he hasn’t forgot how, because hunting public land is all about working harder than the next guy… that’s the secret sauce, always has been, always will be, and that’s his cup of tea
Anyone would hunt where he has opportunity to, I hunt public land because that’s my option to hunt a lot every year, I don’t hold that against him in the least, I think it’s cool he’s earned the opportunity he now has, testament to hard work and treating people wellGood perspective. For those wondering more about the book Endure, I did a review on it a few weeks back:
ENDURE, by Cameron Hanes: Book Review
Sad story indeed and I was glad Cam told all the story about Roy, as I’d only seen bits and pieces of it on Social Media and didn’t know their entire history.I gained new respect for Cam after I spent time with Roy Roth, my guide on an Alaskan Brown Bear bow hunt. He had very high regard for his friend Cam.
Too bad Roy died from a fall on a sheep hunt that year, months after I met him. He was a true bowhunting legend.
That was one video of Cam’s I did watch, his tribute to Roy, and it was excellent and touchingI gained new respect for Cam after I spent time with Roy Roth, my guide on an Alaskan Brown Bear bow hunt. He had very high regard for his friend Cam.

The bear hunt was excellent! i could tell Roy stories for quite a while just from spending a few days with him! And when it came to blood trailing an arrowed brown bear in the alders, there is no one I'd rather have been following than Roy with his old Mossberg 12 ga pump. The bear was dead but it was a fairly long blood trail...maybe 200 yds with the broadhead clipping the bottom of the heart. Pucker factor...HIGH!Sad story indeed and I was glad Cam told all the story about Roy, as I’d only seen bits and pieces of it on Social Media and didn’t know their entire history.
How was your bear hunt?
