Shut out again.
My kids 7 days old now. Wife convinced me to have her by saying “it wouldnt be born during hunting season” literal quote. She knows me well…Nothing, but with a baby coming Sept 20, I applied only for hail mary's.
Yeah I'm not too worried about it anymore. I've seen plenty of my friends draw antelope not once but twice in the 19 years I've been applying and other friends draw elk on their 2nd try. Some guys are just lucky. In California, I am not that guy. I did get a mule deer tag and antelope tag in Utah this year that I had no business getting, so it all works out in the end.if you do not have max points ( which i believe was 20 this year) then 19 may as well be 9 points (or zero really) for most of the elk/antelope/sheep tags. There are cow tags going for less than max points, my dad drew a cow tag with 18.
Congratulations. Be careful not to get struck by lightning while youre out there, the odds are about the same.As posted in other threads, I drew a9 bow in x5b mulie and after 38 years I drew the whites ram tag. Bought a 6.5prc ram killer today. Gotta get into 13,000 foot sheep shape now. Gonna be a busy late August!!!
