[td]So I had a Bushnell 4200, Japanese made scope of the line scope with a “lifetime warranty”. The seals were bad and it condensation in it. Over a few weeks of emailing, calling and picking the callback option with no response and waiting on hold for 2 hours twice I gave up. I finally got this email just now.

Love they state they don’t repair anything anymore, recommend a third party repair and close with good luck.

Guess they are just a shell selling cheap Chinese crap now. No repair center. Just give u a cheap new one if needed.

There is no comparable scopes in their line to replace it. Just cheap junk or super heavy tactical scopes.

Unfortunately we are not currently not doing repairs, so you will have to go through a third party. There is a company we usually point people to, though to be clear we have no affiliation with them. Here is their website: https://www.vintagegunscopes.com/

If you decide to have it replaced, let me know and I can work through that process with you.

Best of luck on getting your scope repaired!

The way that's worded I think they implied they'd replace it......with some of their new stuff, I guess.

Someone was on here the other day (maybe within the last month) saying they replaced his Elite 6500 with a Match Pro(?) and he declined and held out and they offered him one of their fancier scopes instead. I forget which model he said, though.

Here's that older thread:

What's sad? They offered to replace it.

They referred you to "vintage gun scopes" to have it repaired, so I'm guessing it's old. You can't expect infinite support for discontinued products.

The lifetime of the product, not your lifetime, is a pretty standard thing.

You can pay the repair or get a free replacement.

A moment of googling suggests that scope was made by LOW for B&L and sold by Bushnell, so it could be kind of a reach for them to repair it anyway.

Sucks your scope broke but it doesn't seem like they really left you hanging.

It is a simple fix, I guess u didn’t see they are doing no repairs. What this means is the products are so cheap it is just easier to replace them. As to shipping it to LOW I am sure the shipping and customs would be more than the value.

Agree Spence. Bush league move on Bushnell's part.

The vector continental is the exact same scope as the MPED, so if you still want a bushnell optic goin forward might as well buy the top of the line vector stuff

I did see that. I didn't see anything about shipping to LOW. Vintage scopes is in Montana...

Vortex replaces stuff for free because they are cheaper to replace. Swarovski fixes expensive stuff because it breaks. Pick your poison.

FWIW, I do agree that it sucks that so many companies have a cheapo line and tactical/target line without a middle ground. Hopefully the rokscope fills that gap.
