The staking rate changes, I expect it to go down. Nevertheless, just holding ETH pays nothing unless it goes up. With staking you win both ways. Be careful with crypto, you can get hurt.

Precisely. I never call a plan flawless, but I'm thinking about making an exception in this case.

Just found this thread. Curious - what our everyone's goals around their belief and investment around BTC?

(Serious responses only. Only referring to BTC, not Alts).

I believe, like others, that BTC will surpass gold as store of value asset within a decade. How it will ultimately be used I don’t know and probably won’t be around to find out. But I placed a wager on behalf of my 3 kids who are all grown and on their own. I have no intention of selling and hope that when it’s theirs that it’s a game changer for them.
I trade an etf within my 457 account so I can do whatever I want there without tax consequences…for now.

I must say I hope I live long enough to see where crypto, and specifically BTC, go over the next 5-10 years.

BTC might replace Au but it's hard to bet against something with a 5,000 year track record.

You can hold Au and you don't need technology (electricity, electronic device of some sort, a pass key, etc.) to use it.

OTOH, I'm in my late 60's and maybe I'm stuck in the past and just maybe BTC et al is the new Au.

I'm in it pretty good. Lately, I've been buying the futures etf XRPI in my IRAs.
I do expect we'll see a run up in October along with other Cryptos. SOL has been particularly bullish and I'm looking to buy into some SOLZ etf here at some point.
