People hold Biden responsible because he shutdown the Keystone pipeline he promised to keep open almost on day 1. I live in PA and watched him promise all of the union contractors they would continue construction. They are all unemployed.
This is not correct. PA construction is very very good. I personally don’t know anyone that is unemployed!

C'mon man. It aint that simple. It's the greedy oil companies, that are hurting our economy.

Right when this happened I crossed paths with a guy working on a corrosion system on a pipeline while I was scouting. It was a big deal with his company because they were invested in that pipeline. People lost their jobs in an instant.

I remember being in high school and playing one of the call of duty games. There’s a level where you go past a gas station and fuel was like 10-12 bucks a gallon. I remember thinking, “can you imagine?” Well, I might not have to for much longer.

Hope we do not wind up with 4-5 hour lines to get gas.....that really sucked last time.

I was just a kid back in the mid 70’s but I remember that summer (without air conditioning in our car), like it was yesterday.

He was attempting to correlate Biden's shutting down the Keystone pipeline with price increases on all goods across the board along with unemployment rates. He failed to mention the fact that we went through a global pandemic which shut down factories and supply chains for nearly every commodity. I mean... certainly that wouldn't cause demand to exceed supply, right? It's easier to just blame Biden than to use rudimentary economic principles to explain away current issues.

Many of these people simply can't be reasoned with. I've tried to engage in thoughtful discourse several times in these types of threads, if for no other reason than to challenge the "group think" mentality that pervades, but things tend to devolve quickly and end up flooded with Trump bots and meme trolls. They like to just drop in, post a Biden smear or some other scalped Facebook post, and collect their internet points - no intelligent thought required. It's a shame to see grown men acting like they're back in grade school. I really enjoy Rokslide though, and want to do my part to keep things balanced on here, so I don't mind enduring the brigading. Outside of the painfully ignorant political posts, this forum is dope.

Might want to make those trips in a Prius. As a side note, I have one I’m looking to sell, and I think it’ll make several trips around the world on one tank of gas.
