What is the concern? Do you partake in coyote hunting and are concerned with not being able to coyote hunt? Or are you concerned that a ban on coyote hunting could be a “slippery slope” where if the antis, as posted by the Conservation Coalition of WA, bans coyote hunting it would set a precedent for bans on other forms of hunting and thus lead to eventually banning all forms of hunting?
What is there not to be concerned about? People that want to stop coyote hunting want to stop every kind of hunting.
Both. Is this a real question? Also the Conservation Coalition is pro-hunting, they posted this as an alert to hunters.
In the event that the world would cease to exist as we know it, I am convinced the coyote will be one of the last creatures to roam the Earth. They are survivors and if past eradication efforts in the west are any indication, coyotes find a way to persist. This ban would only adversely affect prey species, hunters, and trappers.
I think this is the exact playbook that we will see in the bigger left leaning states. Start with limiting what can be hunted then what do we need guns for?
