Been out of the game (water filtration)

The cnoc bags zip-top are a lot easier to fill. The sawyer bags suck to get full if trying to scoop and fill the bag. The cnoc bags are pretty strong too, have held up to some abuse.
I've always just used the sawyer bags. Have had a couple bags blow out and filling could be easier if the water source isnt great. Definitely will be getting some cnoc bags. Wish I would have heard about them sooner.

Up until last year I’ve used a steripen for the last 7 years with no real complaints. Last season I mixed in using aquamira on a few hunts and was super happy with it. Going forward I’ll likely use aquamira on the majority of my hunts that are more than day hunts just because it’s so quick and simple.

I've used the katadyn hiker pro for the last 15 years atlest, it's a great system for multiple people no matter the water source.

I got the new Hardside Hydration filter to use this season- just fill and drink no extra steps. https://www.hardsidehydration.com/products/bottle-filter

The Steripen ultra is rechargeable, and I carry a battery for my phone, my Garmin Mini and watch, so if I ever do need a charge.. Im covered already. All my trips using it, only 1 time i forgot to charge it before I headed out and on the second night it needed a quick charge.. no biggie. Never had any problems with it though, so easy and fast to use also.. right into the smartwater bottle, upside down and swirl 90 seconds.. Done!! I usually wrap my dirty water bottle with black duct tape.. thats the one I will fill, sterilize.. then pour it into my other smartwater bottle. I sometimes also tank up and drink.. leave my clean bottle filled and ready to drink, then just fill the dirty water bottle, cap it and hike on.. can always Steripen it later.
X2. Steripen ultra is great
