I’m getting conflicting responses on this. I’m trying to figure out what a Bartlein 2B diameter would be chopped at 20 inches. I’ve got one on another gun and it’s right about .710 but others are claiming much smaller. Which must mean the shank was cut. If any of you out there have a 2B you could check at 20 inches for me and let me know if the shank has been cut also, I would greatly appreciate it.

I’m trying to determine overall diameter for threading and to see if I can fit one into a McM Rem Hunter Edge.

Per Bartlein a 2B is .630 at the muzzle on a 24in barrel and they have .0122 of taper per inch so at a finished length of 20 the muzzle dia. should be .6788

I ordered a couple .284 barrels from Bartlein a few months ago for builds that would be run suppressed and after talking to Frank Green w/Bartlein I got two of their 3B contours.

I know it’s not recommended but my 6mm creedmoor has a 23 inch bartlein 2b on it threaded 5/8x24.

I run both my suppressor’s direct thread with no issues on it

I know, in theory that’s correct, but no one I’ve talked to with a 2b has it that small. Most are right around .700 or slightly more.
