When new issues, laws, regulations etc., are presented I have come up with a simple method for determining which side of the argument I support. If Democrats are for it....I'm against it and their against it...well then....I'm all for it. I have found that this saves me a lot of time trying to understand the facts.

Did I say I was filming or imply that I filmed at all? So are you another snowflake making unfounded assumptions based on a single comment? I don't film at all. To provide some clarification for you seeing how you felt the need to comment on my post, and so you don't go on making "assumptions ". My point was clear. There is always some politician trying to find a way to get a fee or a tax for everything. License fee for this, license fee for that. Permit for this, permit for that, parking fee. Just another fee. There will be a off road electric bike fee. A scratch your ass fee, a belching permit etc. etc! Government Control of all our lives. Just another way to take money from the common citizen. Not all of us are sheep. How does charging a fee change anything? How are the going to enforce it?' They can't even keep motorcycles off the Wilderness trails.

I don't find "the fleecing of America" a very clear point, it's actually vague....So no disrespect meant, but if you ask a question or pose an issue in a post, and don't like the response maybe it's not because of some tribe or flock dude, we all have different opinions. So perhaps we can agree to disagree.
I think that commercial interests on public land should have to pay their fair share...I pay habitat fees and permit fees and feel I am paying mine.
I didn't assume anything about you, that's actually why I asked you if you were filming, or were directed being afflicted from this permit system. Usually if someone posts something on a forum it's fair game, it invites a response, so I won't apologize for replying to a posting. I also wanted to learn why you might be complaining about being "Fleeced" when bases on your reply, this policy doesn't actually affect you? I have never understood complaining it doesn't affect a guy...I am not a band wagon guy or belong to any flock. Again no disrespect, we can agree to disagree.

Snowflake comments aside, we are ALL paying for everything at the end of the day, and I don't want to pay anymore than the next person....I am not aware of "which politician" you are ascribing this policy to, as was implied in your the posting....National Forest policy, which usually is under the Department of the Interior, which are hired and appointments, not elected. The few people I know who work for the forest service are every day hard working people, I don't feel fleeced by them.

Out of curiosity, how should we expect forest service trails, forest service roads, camping grounds etc be maintained?..for free?

When on my private property I go by my rules, and on public, I follow the public rules.. And personally and being fully transparent for my own selfish reasons, if there's some red tape that makes it harder for tour groups, charter buses, film crews and drones to be in the national forest or wilderness where I am, it doesn't bother me a bit.
Many people will not agree with my stance, but we have more in common I think as hunters. I just think as hunters we should find common ground on access and habitat if we all wanna keep hunting. Good luck out there.

Be very careful when inviting new gov regs. It's a double edge sword. It might not be you this time but eventually it will be you. Next step could be no hunting on public lands. We are already seeing some user groups band from public land use in WA.
Freedom is a valuable thing to just toss away because we don't like what someone else does.

Well hell yea, they don’t want us filming on public lands. But they allow China to fly over and film our military bases and any thing else they want. Wonder if Joey can’t walk the walk or talk the talk, made any money allowing China to do that, my guess is he did.

This rule has been in place for MANY years. Any commercial use of public land requires a permit, and that includes filming TV shows or movies. Personally I have no issue with the feds regulating commercial (for profit) activity in our forest.
