Anyone have any experience or info on fitting a long action x-bolt with a McMillan a-bolt long action stock? I’m new to browning’s didn’t realize how few stock options there are for browning’s. I’ve read the barrel channel will likely have to be worked. Curious how much inletting might be needed to fit the action/trigger group, receiver?
Is it worth a shot, or not worth the trouble? New McMillan for an x-bolt is close to $800, found nice McMillan for an a-bolt ~ $450
Any advice, experience, info is appreciated!

Did you ever figure this out? From what i understand the X bolt stock from McMillian should be pretty straightforward as far as its inlet and just needs to be bedded. Also, what is the A-bolt stock you found? They are not compatible stock wise. I may be interested in the A-bolt one you found. PM me.
