Doug at Cameraland knows I rely on this platform for buck hunting, and test a bunch of them, so he sent me a pair of Athlons 15x56. First off, they run $699 so if these pan out, they might be a good option for guys wanting 15x but still need to feed the kids

Plan is to put them against the big dogs (Swaro' SLC 15x) and then some of the others I've ran like the Vortex and SIGs.

I've had them out of the box a few days but just glassing horses in the pastue, so no definitive thoughts yet. Hit the watch button upper right if you want some feedback on the latest entry into the 15x world

Randy, I spoke with guys at Al’s pawn shop in Caldwell, they are athlon dealers and we’re planning on getting a pair of the 15’s in

Awesome. Thanks for that info. I'm running several of their riflescopes and they have been outstanding.

I’m looking forward to your review as well. I was able to check out the 15x vultures and 18x kaiboobs today....unfortunately both were too wide for my eyes. The athlon 15x looks to have the same minimum interpupillary distance as my 10x’s. Fingers crossed they are decent quality.

Also really looking forward to this. Was looking hard at the Athlon spotter but might go the 15x route instead for my upcoming sheep hunt.

Robby, any idea on your time frame for the review? I was about to purchase the vultures for an upcoming trip until I found you were reviewing the Cronus. Thanks

I’m trying to hurry! Between raining and working. I can tell you right now these are going to edge out the vultures. The vultures were good, but they had a low depth of field, and a little sketchy on the eye relief. These seem better in both areas. What I have not tested is twilight. Hoping to get them on the optics chart in the next couple weeks.
