I’m a long time kimchi fanatic and I recently came across this great slow cooker kimchi stew recipe. I subbed out beef for venison neck meat and it was delicious. Dead simple to make, just add a few more hours in the slow cooker. Great over rice, noodles, or potatoes.

If you like kimchi or spicy stews/soups you should check this one out.

Sounds great but wife might leave me. It’s already touch and go when I eat some cold kimchi and I imagine it would be game over if I had it stinking up the house in the slow cooker all day. 🤣

I always add some kimchi to my ramen noodles like the company stew you can get in Korea.

I just finished off a jar that expired in June! Lol. Eating expired kimchi hasn't killed me yet.

I regularly make Momofuku kimchi and use it occasionally to make Momofuku kimchi stew with pork and rice cakes. The rice cakes are not the dried packaged rice cakes from the store but made with a sticky rice (jasmine, cal-rose, etc…).

I love kimchi but not when the maker is heavy handed with the fish sauce or dehydrated shrimp powder stuff. Both of those reek so badly.

We've got a huge store called ocean mart near our house. It's kind of like a Pacific Asian Walmart. Tons of kimchi. But most is not in English so it's a gamble when trying new stuff

But that’s exactly what makes it so yummy and truly good 😊 But ya need to use real fermented shrimp not powder. The real stuff reeks even more 😁

Nasty looking stuff but so good 😌
