Any Espresso Junkies?

We have a nespresso does that count ?

I don't drink it for the taste I drink it because I work night shift and I need the heart racing jolt.

I almost only make French press coffee for myself. Hario grinder/electric kettle/scale. I think my press is from Starbucks.

I buy beans from a local roaster. Trying to not start roasting.

I'm not great at picking out tasting notes. But I can look at them and determine which coffee I want. Variety/region mean a lot to me.
What's the scale for? X number of grams of grinds per cup?

Espresso is my go to. We have a Breville. It's good enough, much better than drip coffee or a friggin keurig. If it wasn't for my wife, who was staunchly against it...I'd have a Rocket R58 on the counter with a grinder to match.

Haha you'll get there. The R58 would be a sweet setup.

We just got a Breville touch. Still learning the basics but it's good enough for me and I have zero desire to go any further down the rabbit hole. In fact, the 10+ year old sort of broken drip coffee maker made its way back from the garage to the kitchen counter this morning as I just wanted some Folgers for my morning commute.

I'm a simple man.

We haven’t gone super nerd yet…but we grind beans we get from a local roaster that sells single origin Colombian. We use an old percolator and a little heavy cream. Still haven’t found a better cup of coffee.

I visited a professional roaster in NC. He was using this for making espresso shots for tasting or trial runs.

Anyone have experience with it?
My experience is limited to two shots which seemed good.

I have a 64oz thermos I got at wal mart. Fill it up everyday at rutters for $1.48. I like it, not too strong and not too weak.

That instant espresso pictured above is all I take hunting with me. It makes an excellent cup of coffee. Much better than any via or black rifle garbage.

I have the breville bambino and their separate smart grinder. I make lattes most mornings. For the holiday season I’ve been putting crushed peppermint in once a week. I’ve used a variety of beans, including local small batch but we mostly just go with whatever Costco has.
