Any Espresso Junkies?

I’m gonna give a shameless plug here for my buddy’s company, Odyssey Espresso. His Argos lever machine is beautiful and seems to be filling its niche quite well in the espresso world.

Looks great. His pricing competes with the La Pavoni manual machines. I've used one but never owned a manual. Someday, maybe one of your buddy's

I don't drink it for the taste I drink it because I work night shift and I need the heart racing jolt.

I almost only make French press coffee for myself. Hario grinder/electric kettle/scale. I think my press is from Starbucks.

I buy beans from a local roaster. Trying to not start roasting.

I'm not great at picking out tasting notes. But I can look at them and determine which coffee I want. Variety/region mean a lot to me.

What's the scale for? X number of grams of grinds per cup?

Espresso is my go to. We have a Breville. It's good enough, much better than drip coffee or a friggin keurig. If it wasn't for my wife, who was staunchly against it...I'd have a Rocket R58 on the counter with a grinder to match.

We just got a Breville touch. Still learning the basics but it's good enough for me and I have zero desire to go any further down the rabbit hole. In fact, the 10+ year old sort of broken drip coffee maker made its way back from the garage to the kitchen counter this morning as I just wanted some Folgers for my morning commute.

I'm a simple man.
