Only the locals would know, but it would be interesting to know on those dates of a few cats and dogs went missing.

Doubtful if we're being intellectually honest about how wolves operate. They'd probably be more apt to kill the coyotes than anything when moving in.

But if wolves started stressing out horses and livestock on hobby farms on the front range I'd love to see some entitled horse lady told she needs to stay up at all hours and non-lethally haze away the wolves.

Unfortunately Dan Gates and crew are opposed to the ballot initiative and have said so publicly. Seems the initiative while the right move is too little too late and may cause further issues down the road. I do wish they could work together on it. Obviously the win on 127 was largely due to his efforts.

This article didn't articulate it but it seems like he was clearly opposed to initiative #35 but didn't address feelings on initiative #13? Seems like they have until late August to collect signatures. Is there a negative outlook on getting enough sigs?

They've made it as far west as Meeker. Had one come within about 30 yards of the house, didn't seem scared of humans being out on the porch at all. Hung around probably 20 mins or so. Now we have an abundance of mountain lions that we see regularly along with the first wolf sighting.

Rep Boebert has re-introduced her bill to have the gray wolf de-listed which has quite a few co-sponsors. Getting this bill passed would be the first step in getting rid of the wolves in Colorado IMO.

Nope… I’m a little surprised at all the wolf mortality… a little surprised with conflict with ranching ( figured it was bound to happen but no this quickly or this prolific) I think people think our state is “bigger” than it really is. Will be interesting to see what happens in 10-15 years with a wolf population nearing a 1000… good thing it will be really hard to get an appropriate firearm to defend yourself no one will care until some movie stars 6 year old kid is eaten in aspen

I have seen in some other post that people claim that the wolfs that was caught and sent to Colorado was problematic one’s that had already had a history of cow predation so that might explain why they have had issues so quickly.

Yep the ones from Oregon were problem animals, the ones from BC weren’t around any ranches, but they figured out quick that they like the taste of beef

In New Mexico they released the wolves at the Corner of 4 GMUs in the GILA. The release site was surrounded by cattle ranches. The first litters of wolf pups were imprinted to predate on livestock. As time went on the wolves became livestock killing machines. Now horses, goats, sheep, dogs, cattle you name it…are disappearing and found dead around the local villages. One little girl lost two of her ponies to wolves.

No collar on that "wolf" that I can see. That would mean it's the uncollared 2004 Copper Creek pup that avoided caprture or another wolf from ????

Just confirming what we all knew, wolf activists use the Gov’s office to pressure CPW in order to achieve their desired outcomes.
