That is a sweet setup. How much does that whole setup weigh?Broke in the new um tikka 6 creed and airlock this evening. Couldn’t be happier

Thats awesome. I need a ton of pts in OR to get a decent rifle draw tag for antelope. What caliber you use?Carrying the airlock in the field has been a delight . Got a pronghorn this morning View attachment 944393

Did you start with a 24” barrel and were able to cut down 2” without going into the fluting? Still able to thread to 5/8” at that location?A 22” tikka 6.5 prc
That’s exactly what I did . It’s a veil widelandDid you start with a 24” barrel and were able to cut down 2” without going into the fluting? Still able to thread to 5/8” at that location?
Same. My muzzle shoulder is a bit closer to the flutes and measures about 21 1/2" from the tenon shoulder to muzzle. That’s exactly what I did . It’s a veil wideland
FYI you can cut into the flutes and have an adapter or shoulder added on as needed.Did you start with a 24” barrel and were able to cut down 2” without going into the fluting? Still able to thread to 5/8” at that location?
Once its screwed up against a can, esp. if there is a cover on it, you won't even notice imho.Awesome yeah thanks all for the responses a picture - don’t want to derail. I’m ordering a 20” tikka from EuroOptics and wanted to cut it down to 18” and not go into the flutes. Just wasn’t sure how much of a cut I could get without going into the flutes, but was hoping for 2” and then finishing with the Airlock.
I agree @pods8 (Rugged Stitching), definitely have seen people cut into the fluting and add a shoulder as you described. I’m hoping to avoid the flutes just for my own personal aesthetic preference. Will probably end up at 16” into the flutes in the future![]()

This is a 223 threaded 1/2" both because of the flutes and also because some 223 cans are 1/2" threads so I retained the option to use them.

I don’t believe we’ve seen one. Based on specs, I’d anticipate the edge going to the Airlock 6.5 assuming the intended use case is that of a hunting can.So where is the comparison of the airlock 6.5 to the OG 6.5 ?
With the group buy on UK suppressors going the 6.5 OG is tempting @750
