Looking for feedback and suggestions on a new rifle set up.

Serious question. What would be the criteria defining “ suburbia deer hunting “? How close would that be to actual homes and neighborhoods? I would assume that there are laws/regulations that would govern such an activity?

In South Carolina, you must be 300 yards from a residence unless:
1. You have written permission of all residents (and landowner, if a rental) within 300 yards, OR
2. Hunters are in a stand with footrest at least 10 ft above ground level, OR
3. Hunter owns the land he is hunting.

I only have one kid, so my Suburbia spots are deeded, "me and him as joint tennants with right of survivorship" so he can also hunt anywhere on those parcels and the land doesn't go through Probate when one of us dies.

Thanks. Sooo….if I’ m understanding this, I can put up a 12 ft stand and hunt 100 yards from the nearest residence ( #2 )? I must not be understanding those stipulations because that’s too close.
