Could be that I just need to use a higher quality adapter as I noticed a bit of inconsistency while shooting zeroes with mine. Who makes the ones you are you using there?

I switched to UM adapters as I had an adapter that decided to stay in the can, so that can is now dedicated to 1/2" threads. https://unknownsuppressors.com/shop/acc/1-2-28-thread-adapter/

I like the Precision Armament adapters, very minimal profile and no issues on 3 different rifles.

Some adapters add length, so don't forget to consider that.
