75 day hard

Now that I’ve done 5 minutes of looking into it- the creator comes off as your typical hustle bro. Don’t think I’ll be participating anytime soon. Good luck to all that do!
I've listened to a few of Andy Frisella's podcasts esp. the 75 hard one. Personally I feel if you don't live up to the creator's expectations it diminishes from the experience(whether it's legit or not) - that being said I also have a strong problem with a lot of these podcasters who are like "I do 17/18 hour hard days than go and put in the work." I wonder if they put in 14 hours of hard physical and mental labor combined with an hour + commute than have to look for street parking. That used to be my life.
I understand that take on Andy, however he has built a few companies that have surpassed $100,000,000 in value. That takes some dedication and I'm certain more than a few days putting in 17/18 hours. While it might not be for everyone, I have definitely benefited from the experience. I'm down 25lbs, and have read multiple entrepreneurship books that will directly affect my business. My deep dive on accrual-based accounting and how to get the most out of Quick Books is just getting started! Friday is day 75!

I think Jocko Willink was criticized for that, He would post pictures of puddles of sweat and kettlebells or barbells with his watch at like 4am and he'd talk like that's what he does to be successful, out of bed by 3am done working out by 4 and to work by 5 then pitting in a 15 hour day or something.

People who worked for or with him said that was total BS. He did get up early to workout but he'd often be taking mid day naps, working from home, working just a few days a week and only a few hours a day when he did. He is mostly acting like his navy SEAL training has carried over into his business life when in reality, he's gotten to a point where he docent need to put in 20 hour days.

Congrats! I did the full 75 days, no cheating, back in 2022. Changed my life at the time, but over the last 3 years I've slowly fallen back into my pre-75 hard physical shape...time to do the challenge again.

He's definitely a hustle bro, at least he pushes exercise and stuff.

I did 75 hard in 2022, and it was great for me. I have two pieces of advice I tell everyone:
  • Create a routine
    • Mine was a 5:00am workout every morning followed by reading. Every day. No changes.
  • Be realistic on your workouts and have a plan.
    • For most people, there are only so many workouts you can do when working out twice a day for 75 days. For me, I rucked on one of the workouts every day. That helped and was relatively low impact.

Rucking has been my 2nd workout and primarily the one I do outside. I agree with the 5am wake up and workout, my days go significantly better when I stick to that. The weekends that I don't get up to get my workout in can get disorganized pretty quickly.
