For threaded lugs I like to use all thread to start, spread release agent generously on the threads and then pre-thread it into the lug, I then use it as a guide to line up the hole on the stock, once you get the stock pressed on remove the all thread and clean up the hole with q-tips before inserting the action screw that has been lubed and then torque.

I guess the problem is I don’t know what “all thread” is.

Yah it was kind of weird to bed with the screw going up through the lug - I’m no expert but was just careful with how much and where I put the epoxy. So it wasn’t running into the screw hole before I got the bolt in there. Bedding doesn’t really need that much - I was trying for more of a skim bed. did the recoil lug and rear of the action. I didn’t have a problem.

Shot 25 more rounds today a 20 shot group and 5 after making adjustments. Not bad results but not great either. Would bedding the action help tighten these up? The 20 shot group could probably be tighter if I took my time a little more.

Need some help… Brownells is telling me the 22” standard barrel 4.8 pounds and the 20” barrel is 4.3 pounds. I read the post that says the 22” is about 3.85 pounds. Please somebody tell me that somebody has weighed one of the 22” and could tell me the weight!!

22” BA is 3lbs 15 oz.

Bolt weighs 9oz.

Will have receiver and barrel weight next week probably.
So you are saying total weight is 4 pounds 8 ounces?

The only reason I ask is that brownells is saying the carbon fiber one is 3 pounds 11 ounces. So trying to compare apples to apples. Kind of.

No. The barreled action(all of it) is 3:15.

The bolt is 9 ounces (just a component weight people want to know).

I’ll add bare receiver and barrel weight soon.

Thank you so much. I was planning on chopping 2” off so it should put it almost identical to carbon version. Really appreciate it. Just saved me $400.

The barrel is very, very thin.

Not sure if that matters to you.

You’ll only be threading 1/2”.

Just something to consider. It’s a very lightweight profile. Only way to get skinnier is to just do a .625” taperless

I was planning on threading it 1/2x28 so hopefully I should be good. Thanks for letting me know though about the meat of the barrel. At least I know I could do it! Thanks so much!!
