I'm a Tikka guy but I'm also a buy cheap shit that works guy. You can get Ruger American Predator Gen 1 6mm Creedmoor for less than the price of a barrel. Mine shoots exceptionally and I'd buy another one today. They are still available and 2 guns is always better than one... 😉

I’m in the same boat Jay! That’s what I did! My Ruger American Predator in 6 Creedmoor is an accurate little gun and stuff keeps dropping with it.

I’ll look into those. I did a bit of reading but I have not found a solid evaluation. I know the gen 1 was accurate and I sure hope the gen 2 is just as good. Thanks!

You might research feed issues in that model and caliber before clicking the order button. I have a thread or 2 on here about my experience, and after diving in I realized I wasn't alone. Best of luck.

Nothing earth shattering, just standard operating procedure for the 243 at this point but a meat doe and a cull
buck at 157 yards and 90 yards with Berger 105 vld’s at 3080fps muzzle velocity. The doe was broadside with quarter size exit and about a gallon of blood painting the ground for her 30 yard dash. The buck was quartering to and I didn’t find an exit, dropped on the spot.

My RA in .308 fed like crap and I couldn't stand that "zipper" noise with the action. Accurate for sure, but between these function issues and the "accu-trigger" I'd not buy another one. Tikka trigger and function is superior in all areas.
