First piece of the 6 ARC came in today - new Tikka 223. Will be sending the bolt to Kinport to open soon.

You do have to fit the interal of the stock inlet to the bottom metal. I used a dremel. A little more involved than I expected but it wasn’t too bad. It’s definitely not a straight drop in. But you also don’t have to change the overall inlet diemensionally externally on the stock if that makes sense. You remove material internally for the the part of the mag well that extends into the stock a little to fit. They have a video that’s does an ok job of showing what you do. And you do have to remove the ribs or the AICs mags themselves wont insert all the way. I’d think it’d probably still work with the original bottom metal but I didn’t try it

Both the 10 rd MDT metal mag and 2 5 round AICs metal mags with the primal 6br adapters worked great this weekend though about 60 combined rds between the 3. No feeding issues and I didn’t have to mess with feed lips etc. solid lock up on mag with no wiggle/clinking sound. So far very pleased - although this was all at the range and not hiking around in the mountains. Here’s a couple pics of the different lengths in the mag. These 108eldm hand loads

I know there’s been a little talk about it already, mostly just a comment here and there. But is there a magazine setup for the factory stock that’s reliable? In particular, just a factory mag that works?

I’ve seen some talk about Waters and them recommending their conversion bottom metal to AICS. If I were to do that though, I’d likely just fork out the money for a new stock.

Hunting season got in the way, but I finally sent my bolt off to Kinport to get opened up to 6 ARC.

Crazy fast turn around time. Dropped off the package at UPS on Monday evening (Billings, MT) and had it on my doorstep today (Friday). Super fast and great looking work.

Still waiting on my Rokstok. Received my pre-fit barrel today, but appears to be a mix up at the shop as they sent me a 6 PRC instead. Will hopefully have this sorted out and put together soon.

I bought standard aluminum bottom metal from Oregon Mountain Rifles and will be trying the factory 22/250 magazines. If that doesn’t pan out, I might go with a Waters 6 BR magazine (they state ARC should work fine out of it).

I’d look into building a gas gun in 6 arc. I’m into mine a total of $1200 with a scope and it shoots 1/2in groups at 100. Grendel hunter upper and a cheap lower and you’re ready to rock.

I am loving the ARC cartridges. Just completed my first barrel/cartridge swap on the Q Mini-Fix. Switched out the factory Q barrel (16" 6 ARC) for a Proof pre-fit 18" in 22 ARC. Man it is sweet on the recoil side and the Proof barrel is stacking sub MOA in a 5 round group with the 88 grain ELDM after a 25 round barrel break-in. I have a 16" Proof pre-fit in 6 ARC ready for hunting season next year. Definitely recommend the 22 ARC as well! Same bolt face, same mags (I prefer Geissele) just faster velocities and negligent recoil.

I just got my 6 ARC T3x put together. Had a couple issues feeding from an M-length mag (maybe 20% of the time the cartridge didn’t feed smoothly), so I'd like to get a shorter length with a bit more capacity. Are these the S-length magazines that are working well for people?

On the forum prints the Grendel/ARC mags. I have 2 and they are outstanding. I highly recommend doing business with him. Great product, packing and shipping. I’ll order a few more once my new barrel arrives.

Just to get in front of the inevitable question, they are 3rd capacity, 2.55" cartridge length. I don't make a larger capacity variant and no immediate plans to do so. But if 3rd works for the user the ARC mag (fits BR and Dasher also, not too much Dasher feedback yet though to be transparent) have been getting solid feedback, no one has yet advised me they've had an issue with the final version.
