6.5 Creedmoor/260 for Deer, Elk, and whatever else.....

Have you recovered any from further shots? Wondering how much expansion you get at +-1800 fps

I have not, 350 was the furthest. It is a valid question. People think the ELD-M is going to explode at normal range, but I think it's perfect at creedmoor speeds. I would also be interested to see what the bullet looks like after a slower impact.

Everything I've shot with my 6.5CM using the 147 ELDM has been a complete pass through. This includes antelope at 500 and deer at 600.

Thanks for the feedback. I had a pass through on a blacktail (no surprise) at 130 yards. Caught two on a cow elk at 220 yards and has me a bit concerned if there would’ve been lack of expansion at low velocities and longer distances

It's a Manners EH1. It has a 20 inch barrel with a really tight chamber and pressures out quicker than my previous 18 inch. I could probably run 2750 but it shoots very good ten round groups at that speed.

137.7lb whitetail doe. 6.5CM AAC 140 gr SBBTs, impact velocity ~2400. Quartered to. Shooter hit about 2” high of aim point in middle of chest cavity, exiting rear lungs.
