I randomly grabbed a handful of ADG 270 WSM pieces of brass from the four boxes I had delivered the other day and new unfired they hold 79.5gr H2O. Average empty cases weighed 225.6gr I was going to measure the neck thickness but forgot. I'll try and remember to get that tomorrow. That 270 WSM # sounds awful high, i'm pretty sure 7 WSM which was a bigger case were more around 81-82 grain h20?
I don't rifle hunt, might as well get it to someone that doesWhy?
Ahhh makes sense.I don't rifle hunt, might as well get it to someone that does
No that bugs me too. Closest I’ve come is doing an AI. Same reason I haven’t resorted to 7x57 brass for my Roberts.I’ve really been wanting to build a 25saum but I can’t stand not having appropriately head stamped brass available. Must be my OCD…
Glad to know I’m not alone. That’s part of the reason I shoot a standard 25-06 and not 25 PRC or 25-284. Also the the plain old 25-06 just keeps working for me.No that bugs me too. Closest I’ve come is doing an AI. Same reason I haven’t resorted to 7x57 brass for my Roberts.
Come on man...head stamps don't matter! No that bugs me too. Closest I’ve come is doing an AI. Same reason I haven’t resorted to 7x57 brass for my Roberts.
lol true they don’t but almost had an oopsie once when I was juggling 5.56/25-45sharps/6x45 because they were all 5.56 brass. Ended up getting mixed in together after a spill and had to sit there with calipers to confirm what was what. That was fun and subsequently I’m down to only 5.56s and a 25-45sharps.Come on man...head stamps don't matter!
Check on snipers hide for that cartridge info. A few people over there really seem to like it.Has anybody done a 20” 25x47?
It should push 133-135s around 2700fps in a 20”Has anybody done a 20” 25x47?
I don’t mind that I’ve been looking at it might build one I’m not sure yet if I will or not .It should push 133-135s around 2700fps in a 20”
Waiting on dies for a 25-35 ai. Fast twist, so keeping it slow (2800) for 75g vmax to not blow them up. Might try some 134’s to see how they work.Surely someone has had success with 25-35 Winchester in grandpas 94.

Tc contender 1:7 twist so it can handle heavies. Going to try the 75g vmax on coyotes. Then some 134’s for larger game. Supposedly the ai version is the largest case capacity gain of any ai cartridge. Used 375 win brass to make cases.Assuming you had a 94 reamed out to the ai dimensions, or is it something more exotic?
I’m waiting to find a good condition 94 drilled for reciever sights. I shoot monos so would be limited to the 100gr hammer lever hunters .
Not grandpa's, but it is a 25-35.Surely someone has had success with 25-35 Winchester in grandpas 94.
