22 arc cons:
Weird bolt head
No good brass
Grendel headspace gauges are hard to find or way overpriced
I'm not sure the 22 arc will flourish. The people who could really use it would want it in a bolt action. I know Ruger has it now, I'm not going to buy a Ruger. The gen II looked like it was designed by a committee. The AR crowd is going to find it hard to justify paying so much for ammo when 556 can do everything the arc can inside of 400 yards.

How many rounds do you shoot a year?
From my 2024 spreadsheet and rounding to the nearest 100.

.17 Mach 2: 6,000
.17 HMR: 4,000
.204 Ruger: 1,200
.223/5.56: 30,000
.22 Creedmoor: 2,000 (didn't start until August then hunted with it September-December)
.22-250: 2,000
.243: 12,000
.6 Creedmoor: 6,500
.6.5 Creedmoor: 4,000
.260 Remington: 5,500
.6.5 PRC: 3,500
.7SAUM: 1,200
.7mm Rem Mag: 800
.308/7.62: 15,000
.300 Win Mag: 200
.338 Lapua: 200

For the 22 Creed specifically, I am working on my 3rd Tikka setup and I have 3 extra barrels for when the first one goes. My factory Tikka 8 twist stainless barrel "should go" any day now as it's just past 1,500 rounds as of this morning; we'll see... This allows me to always have a 22 Creed up and running when one is down for a new barrel or an optic breaking or whatever else.

I'm not seeing anywhere in the future where a 22 Creedmoor isn't "always" in the truck or jeep along with the .223 and .308 and really, I don't "need" any of my 6mms anymore because of that cartridge.

Incredible numbers. You shot more last year than half or Rokslide will in their entire lifetime.

I have an open invitation for anyone to message me and come shoot (y) I've learned a TON from this site and from folks who have come out for shooting days over the years.

I do. I own a self sufficient dirt work business that I started myself, and I also have my "day job" which is work from home and has flexible hours with unlimited vacation time. One of the benefits of starting young and sticking with a company for 20 years and being loyal (things the next generation doesn't seem to grasp). I could be making a hell of a lot more money at my "day job" if I bounced around companies but then life wouldn't be as good.
